Tasco Scopes

Is it just me or does anyone else think Tasco scopes are a POS? ???

Well, to tell the truth I shoot a Springfield XD so it doesnt really matter.

Depends on which scope.  The Japanese made "Super Snipers" from SWFA are escellent scopes for the money.  Too bad they don't offer a 5X instead of the too powerful 30MM 10X.

I bought a 6-24x40 Tasco on ebay for $60bucks,new n the box,included shipping.I put that one on my 22-250 Remington.I must of
shot up 500rounds by now.Had no problems with it,I also bought another Tasco, a 6-24x42 and put that one on my Remington
25-06 and shot around 2boxes of shells,and again no problems.Now I got to say that there both the target/varmit models and I can
also say,I would buy Tasco Varmit models again..I think there good scopes,I had bad Leopold scopes too.. 8)

I have 3 scopes that are tasco 3x9x40,these are 30 + years old that sit on 2 8x57 mausers and one on a 30-06 work great never had any problems.
I did purchase a proghorn scope about 2 years ago was broke out of the box.

Yep, I have two old ones and they are great.  I bought a new 6X18 (or something like that) and the windage and elevation knobs siezed up when sighting it in.  I exchanged it  for a Bushnell Trophy which has worked out very well.  Most all the guys on the gun forums agree, Tasco has gone down the crapper.

POS!!!!

 I had the 3-9x40 mounted on my NEF .270Win and when I shot of a sandbag/bipod rest the scope BROKE IN HALF just in front of the zoom ring! As I'd already made the mistake of tossing the receipt and box (bad idea I know now) I couldn't return it and frankly was so ticked I diddn't want to bother. Although it now makes a great display to study the inner workings of a riflescope lol.

I read a lot of posts about how good a company Bushnell is, even the low end stuff, I have a ledgend that I think is great.  So now that Tasco is owned by Bushnell would it follow that the QC might be better?  I don't know.  I was thinking of buying a Tasco 2.5x10 varmint scope for my mini 14 ranch, I like the Mil dot.  will it hold zero?  They say they have fully coated lens. 
What do you think?
