BAP, you are correct same gun as a winchester 94. If you need a good 30-30 I would buy it. I doubt you could make much if you bought it to resell. These just don't bring the money a winchester does. How old do you think it is. If pre 64 then you get the bennefit of the older winchester pre-64 mfg. Regards, Byron

the ted williams name was used by sears back in the 60s as a marketing ploy. He was an avid sportsman of the time. There were winchester model 70s win 94s and i believe even marlins that had the ted williams name on them. My dad still has a ted willaims signature cannoe. I can still remember when i was young going to the local sears and roeback store. This was before the day of walmart and kmart and shopko. They allways had a nice guns section and while my parents would christmas shop id drewl on the guns. My first new gun came from sears. It was a 20 guage single shot stevens with a push buttom breach opening button on the side. I got it for my 10 birthday and still have it today. Brings back memories of paging through the old sears and herters catalogs!!!!!!!!

Get it!  I am always looking for those house brand guns...I bought a Western Field 30-30 for $180...It is a Marlin 336...If you are not worried about the $$ value and just want it for what it is, in your case a Win 94, go for it...
