My brother has a 5 1/2" barrel SAA.   On the barrel it says DAKOTA .45 COLT.  It also says ARMI  JAGER.   This gun was probably made in the early 70's.   The previous owner gave him some paperwork showing it had been upgraded with Colt parts back in 1976.

I had two of them in the mid 70's.  Both 45 Long Colts, one 5 1/2" and one 7 1/2".

Both were good shooter and dependable.  I replaced hand springs when they broke but that was the only problem.

Both are long gone now or I'd look at the marks and try to make sense of them.

Oh, the Cavalry gun (7 1/2) eventually became an Artillery model and it shot better after the surgery!
