Why do you hunt?
Why don't you just take pictures and let the animal live?

I only hunt for food.  You can't eat pictures and the bears are a nusiance animal up here.  Far too many of them.  Too many wolves too,  there eating peoples dogs right off the leashes.

Meat tastes good.

I prefer to be a participant in the cycle of life and not a voyeur.

willis5,
I have gone back and read all of your posts and wonder why you bothered to post  a question like this. What's your point? Most hunters use condoms to protect the barrel of their firearms from moisture. You do it differently it appears... :)

whoa! I guess I should have told you why I hunt first!

I hunt for the thrill, meat, stalk, hunt, and everything else involved. I love shooting, and punching paper is just not the same. Believe me, I don't take pics, cause it just isn't the same. I would rather look at national geographic or something.  :-D  :-D

Don't get me wrong guys, I was just tryign to spark a conversation! I just wanted to hear replies to that often asked question.

I am glad you guys would jump all over a "tree hugger" if they came into these woods. Take care guys, and let's keep the replies coming

cheers,

willis5,
Take a moment and re-read all of the posts prior to yours. I think that those who were not aware of your participation elsewhere @ G.B.'s fine site here did not jump all over the "purported tree-hugger." For the most part they were rather straight forward answers to what could have been a valid question. Besides, all used at least one   :), or   , or  , which was still smiling!"
As for my post, I stand by it, for you have yet to explain it! :)  :)    :)  :)

:-D  :-D  :-D

Bearhunter,

Sorry, I keep my barrel out of "moist areas" and only pointed down range or at an animal target. :)  I don't hunt underwater or drop my gun in the mud...

anyone else have a comment about why they would rather shoot than take pics?

Cheers,

Sometimes you can't get the animals to stay still long enough to get a good picture, so if you shoot them first you can take all the pictures you want, plus get a freezer full of meat.

Just for the enlightenment and edification of all.

Tree huggers, bunny huggers (no dang it not those in the Playboy magazine)    anti hunters, anti gunners, anti fishermen, anti trappers and those animal rights folks get NO time here. I delete their posts and ban them from the site. Been a long time since we had one drop it. Seems they don't like to spend all their time making posts that just get dumped and get them canned.

This site is for folks who enjoy shooting, hunting fishing, trapping and other such consumtive uses of wildlife.
