Help with a Remington 1100

I have an older 1100 that I'm having problems with.  I'm having misfires with it.  We've taking the bolt out and the firing pin is not broke.  When I pull the trigger I can see the hammer hit the rear of the bolt but it does not make contact with the firing pin. 

I had a side saddle on it and it worked perfectly.  When I removed the side saddle is when I started having problems.  I removed the pin that came with the side saddle and replaced it with the original. 

Any one know what might be wrong with it?

When you say the hammer doesn't it the firing pin where does the hammer hit? If it doesn't reach then it's likely you damaged the pin retainer springs when reinstalling them and they are blocking the hammer fall. Did you remove the trigger assembly and check to see if anything was in the way? By the way don't drop the hammer with the trigger assembly out of the gun without catching it. Is the firing pin return spring present?
