Question about Barrel Weight

Hey guys, new to this forum, and just getting the "Handi virus".  My question is I just bought a 223 with regular contour barrel, with the green laminates, and medallion in the stock,  Will say a heavy 25-06, or any heavy barrel fit the hand guard?  Also, will the "Ultra slug hunter" barrels fit this stock set and receiver?

Welcome to GBO!! The forend will fit the barrels fine standard or bull barrels, all the barrels are pretty much the same diameter at the forend, the bull barrels just have less taper. The 12ga slug gun uses the 10ga frame and stock set, the 20ga will fit the rifle frame and stocks....I think!! I don't own a slug gun, so maybe those that have em will have to confirm this.
