Well guess no one has used the titanium. I went back to buy it, but found a Remington mountian rifle chambered in 270. The MR is almost as light and a little bit prettier so I bought it instead. Also I got it, a gold ring Leupold 3x9, Millet scope rings, and two boxes of ammo for the same price. does anyone out there think I'm going to be happy with my new purchase?

I purchased a Remy 700 Mountain in 280 Remington, this year. Dropped a pig with it in June. I like this rifle very much. Just be aware it has that very light sporting barrel on it. When at the rifle range developing loads and/or sighting it in, the barrel heats up pretty quickly. Give the barrel plenty of time to cool between shots (I let my barrels cool until I can comfortably wrap my hand around them). With proper barrel cooling my best three shot groups were about .75". It's not a problem in the field since you'll only be taking one or two shots.
Hunting and fishing are not matters of life or death. They are much more important than that.
