I have a plastic Gerber that says 500 on the blade. Folding, it has a 3" blade that is wide. I guess you could call it a pocket knife. I have no clue as to where I got it. It is far and away the best knife I have used in my 50 years in the deer woods. I filet to backpack in remote areas. I never carry a sharpener. Yesterday's buck presented a dilema, in that I lost the knife in the leaves, after filet. I was more worried about getting the knife out than the deer, which was neatly packed away. After crawling around on my hands and knees for 20 minutes I found it. The blade really does not need sharpening, in the course of fileting a deer.
