Hi everybody!
« on: December 04, 2006, 03:17:12 AM »
Just thought I'd drop by and say "Hi".Been really busy.My Mom had a stroke 5 weeks ago and almost died. She's much better now,has some use of her right arm, right leg is still really weak.Haven't set a trap or snare.I hurt my back and the Doctor said my trapping and hunting days are over.He probably is wrong(grin).Selling my farm and moving in to a bigger house so my parents can live with us,we'll take care of them. The coyotes are thick this year. It's been real cold and windy,we've had snow since Oct.15th.Bogmaster,I went by the one local lake with water in it and was surprised how many rat house and pushups there were.Hope you all are real sucessful.Rdfox, get a big ol' buck mink for me next check
I love the smell of coyote gland lure early in the morning. It smells like victory!!

Coy, glad to hear your mom is making progress, but sorry to hear you are hurting.Nothing gives a person more pleasure, than proving the docs wrong--and in your case --do it.
Ti bad you didn't get a chance to harvest those rats--you would have loved it.My buddy mike and I ,have been chasing them--had to pull everything 3 times ,because of ice .Just started on the ice for them the other day--weather has been lovely--lol. 8 above--30mph winds--just a trappers worst nightmare.
 Hope you feel better soon.
 Tom

Yotero, sorry to hear of your back problem, do proper exercises  slowly  so you will be able to set those bracelets again.  Your  mother  has  a mountain to climb in getting to get around and do everyday things but with your help and empathy in taking care of them she will suceed.  I had to pull most of water line except for springs where water doesnt freeze.  Have some big prime buck mink i didnt get to skin yet in freezer but will get to them this week  now that  temps are  below 10 degrees every nite.  Maybe you can sling some lead   at those yotes roaming around till  you can set some steel again.   Take care and wish you and your family the best in the days ahead.

Coyotero, sorry to hear about your Mom...take good care of her. Can you set snares in your state? If so bust them out as not much hard labor involved. Take care...mike
