My new 7600 7mm-08 (Pics)
« on: December 10, 2006, 08:02:03 AM »
Here are a few pics of my new Rem 7600 7mm-08.

I put a Burris 3-9x40 w/Ballistic Plex reticle on as that's the same scope I've got on my Rem Mtn LSS.  The rings are Leupold Quick Release.  I've got a 6.5-20X50 scope that I use for range work and with the Lupey QRW rings I can switch the range scope to eigher the 7600 or my Rem Mtn LSS as needed.

Today I'm working up some 154 Hdy RN loads to try out in the 7600 and hope to get to the range this afternoon.  I'm just looking for minute of Whitetail accuracy at this point as I plan to hunt the last two days of Missouri rifle doe only season next weekend.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this rifle will shoot as well as my Mtn LSS

I like it.  Sure looks pretty next to my old 760.  I just installed a new Burris FFII on my rifle last week.  It seems huge compared to the scope that was on it.  I hope you collect a bunch deer with it.  Happy Hunting.

My sister-in-law over in Worland, Wyoming has taken 3 elk and over a dozen mulies with 7mm-08.  A Browning lever action carbine which seems perfect for her left handed shooting.  140 grain Nosler Partitions are accurate and deadly.

I really like the appearance of your new rifle.  The shades of grey are distinctive.

WOW!!!  Not only a great looking rifle but a great rifle as well.  I really like the laminated stock color.  If your 7600 7mm.08 shoots as well my 7600 30.06, you will be one very happy camper.  The 7600s rival many bolt action rifles in the accuracy department.  Hope you enjoy many happy hours with your new gun.

Thanks to all for the compliments (I think she looks good too!) and well wishes.  I havent' been able to get to the range yet to find out is she is "all show and no go", but hope to before the weekend so I can spend Sat & Sun on a deer stand.

I'll let you know how it goes at the range.

Thanks again

I have the same rifle. I mounted a VX2 1x4 with a German #4 reticle in Talley lightweight rings. I put an Uncle Mike's barrrel band sling swivel mount on mine and removed the sights.
