Blue Ticks as squirrel dogs
« on: November 01, 2006, 05:55:12 AM »
Does anyone do this. I just got a full blood bluetick w/ pedigree, waiting on the UKC papers. Its bloodline is that of a coon dog but I wanted to train him for squirrels. Is that possible? Has anyone done it....Hellbilly

When I was a kid in louisiana my uncle started  out all his coon dog pups on squirrels during the day. I was always told if it will tree a squirrel it will tree a coon. I have a friend who has cur dogs that also hunt both.
