Gentlemen,
These are two photo's of the M1C and the M1E8 later to become the M1D. They show how they are attached to the M1 Garand Rifle. Notice on the M1E8 the cheekpiece. It is flat to allow the use of iron sites. Also notice the date on the M1E8. I hope you find this data of interest.
Some data has been posted before others have not.
Warning, before you go to my sites lower your volume as the opening page contains a sound file which has a loading and firing of the M1 Garand. So if you're at work or home it may be wise to check your volume control.
