Sharpen them hooks

The circle hooks I use have some serious points on them right out of the box, but they deteriate pretty quick when used on limblines.

I spent time yesterday morning sharpening and replacing hooks, and when I went back out just before dark to bait up, I had caught two nice channels on bare hooks.

I figured last night was gonna be good with some lively baits on those hooks.

I had nine channels up to 8 pounds, and two flats on this morning. One flat weighed 14 and the other went 25. Not too bad for twenty some hooks. I'm thinkin I should have sharpened/replaced hooks several days ago.

Good Job, glad to hear somebody is getting after them. I hope to catch my first flat this coming weekend. For the first one of the year I will just be happy to catch one, dont care about the size I just want to know that they have woke up.
