Handi Bull barrell selection

I want a 30.06 Handi. BUT, I would like to have it in a bull barrell. Does anyone know if you can special order any calibers in the heavy barrell configuration, that are not normally a heavy barrell caliber? If not, what are the thoughts about the standard barrell(s) in the 30.06? (accuracy on long shots, recoil, etc)  I have a 45/70 but the barrell looks to be a little heavier than the "normal" Handi rifles. Maybe I am wrong about that, I am not an expert on the Handis buy any stretch. I have an ultra slug gun and that barrell is one step away from being a piece of steel pipe, and the accuracy is second to none. Any and all information on this would be appreciated. Thanks.

As of now, no you can't special order a caliber in a different config. Hopefully one day that will be an option, see Wish List at the top of the page and post your wants there as well as every little bit counts. I too would love to have a 308 or 30-06 in a 24" Bull Barrel, or better yet a 26" version. For now our options are limited, to haveing a smith rebore and rechamber an existing bull barrel. Wayne York has made a great name for himself here with this.

 hang out. I had Wanye York bore and recamber a handi for me.
 Toget a cambering that I wanted, Did a great job, 1st class , cut rifleing.
