My partner and I had some good luck this last Friday and Saturday. We took four mulies in the Musselshell River breaks. Had perfect weather, with nice frosty mornings and high in the 40s. He was using his Handi 270 and was carring my Ultra 25.06 Is this a great hobby or what?

Congrats!!!  Looks like a pickup load of meat to me! What load were you using in the 25-06?

Congrats Wally!!! I'm really jealous, our season has come and gone without anyone firing a shot, never even saw any horns! :'(

Years ago I settled on a Sierra 117 gr spbt. It has become my favorite for antelope and muly.

I understand about Washington hunting. I was born and raised just 20 miles north of Everett.

Actually both my partners and my freezers have been full for some time (Four antelope and 10 whitetails did that.). Except for the large doe, all this meat will be processed, vacuum sealed and donated or passed on to family members or friends.

We have continued to hunt for just the enjoyment of being outside and the hunt itself, not the meat. In our case, the meat is just a by-product of the hunt.
