Ruger 77/50

Looking at buying one, I did a search and found nothing.... Can anyone give me some insight to these rifles? Thanks, Dan

When they came into the production stage,they were the "Hot" ticket,but after a few lack-luster reviews,they faded out of sight. :)

Thanks for the info.... I am looking at a stainless and laminated stock one for $269.00. Would you buy one? I was wondering also if the sights can be changed to tru glow's?

To be honest with you and my opinion only - no.  There are to many limitations on the Ruger.

Now you really like the looks and you want it for yourself - "git er done"

If you want a more modern and more functional gun - there are a lot out there in that price range.  I think I would lean real hard at the Omega z5

Another remark that is jst my personal opinion, if you are looking for a bolt action of that vintage the Remington 700ML is a better gun and if you do mind shooting 209 in disks (plastic gadgets) the Knights are the way to go.

Hope you find what will work for you.

 I have one. got when they first came out wouldn't recommend it 200 yd shooting but for closer works fine I prefer the the way it carries and handles over my others. Knight Big Horn, T.C. Encore,and N.E. Sidekick get the musket cap breech plug with the percussion cap if you don't seat the cap extra firm you will get missfires recock and it will go off the second time not good when hunting
