S&W scope mount with rear sight attatched
« on: November 30, 2006, 12:36:49 AM »
Hello I have seen some pictures of some smith and wesson revolvers with a scope mount that still allows you to keep your rear sight attatched and was wondering what brand they are, and if you can still shoot with open sights with the scope removed?

The mount you are talking about allows you to mount the rear sight on to the mount, the rear sight has to be removed and the mount installed and then reinstall the rear sight on to the mount. It is made by Warne.

Here it is.

I use a Warne Multi Sight that that allows you to mount your iron sites on and use quick release rings. It is at the top of the page. http://www.warnescopemounts.com/whatsnew.asp I think that it is the same thing Redhawk's link shows.

I use Warn Med. QR rings and a Nikon 2x scope. It always returns to zero when I pull the scope off and put it back on. I have been very happy with it.
