Sling Mount Question

Will the Sling Mount Magazine Cap from and 870 fit a Pardner Pump?  I drew my nephew's name for Christmas and he has no sling for his 12ga Pardner Pump Synthetic.  I just thought the whole set-up would just fill the bill.
