Dan Wesson 375 Mag
« on: December 31, 2008, 04:17:20 AM »
I would like any advice and information you could give me on the 375 mag Dan Wesson. The weapon I have is in very good shape,
the only thing I see wrong is the vented rib has been drilled and taped for a scope mount. The gun is nice and tight and clean, Thank you and have a great New Year ??? :)

Yo! Dog!
First see if you can locate and but 375 brass?
Case dimensions are much thicker than 30-30 brass! Hence the ability to fire high pressure loads?
Did a Midway search and nada!
Good luck,

Midway does not carry the brass, we make ours from .375 brass and it works well. Happens to be the same that the original designer used as well. Some .375SM brass is out there, and buy it if you find it for its novelty. Ammunition is also available through us.

I also make some of my brass using the 30/30 cases........it's not as strong and you can't shoot full max powerhouse loads using it but it works great for mid range loads which makes up 90% of my shooting with the 375 anyways and makes for cheap brass making.

Correct, the .30-30, .32 Win special, and 38-55 can all be cut to work. They all need to be loaded a bit down but it makes for less expensive brass.
