Loading for the AR 15

Looks like I'm getting ready to start reloading cartridge #7. I need some advice on the 223 round in a AR 15. Powder will be either Benchmark or BL-C(2) or H335. Bullets are the cheap Winchester 55 grain FMJ BT. This is plinking/blasting ammo only, not SHTF stuff. Already got some good stuff set aside for that. My main questions are 1) will my powder choices reliably cycle a gas operated AR with no problems related to burn rate? 2)Should I crimp these rounds? If so, what kind of crimp? Roll or a Lee FCD? My rifle is a 16" Bushmaster HB upper with a Eotech on a DPMS lower so I'm not worried about finding a tackdriver load but I would like accuracy to equal Win WB. What advice/experiences can you guys offer? Thanks!

I have a DPMS AP4 carbine, the most accurate load I have found so far is a Hornady 60 gr. V-Max over a moderate charge of H335. It will shoot 3/4" @ 100 yds. all day. I load with Benchmark in my 223 boltgun, but could not get it to shoot as accurate out of my AR. (I only tried 40 gr. Bal Tips, they shoot great out of my boltgun) My AR has a 1 in 9 twist and seems to like the 55 to 68 gr. bullets the best.

H-335 is a great powder for the 223. I use a 55gr sierra spitzer with great results.   KN
