I don't know about over adjustment; is it one of those discount cheapo scopes? cheapo mounts?, is it mounted firmly?, check your mounts? normally poor mounting leads to the scope "wandering", did you mount it too high?, is this the first time you mounted a scope?, how old is the scope? In summary if you never mounted a scope before take it to a gun store pay the guy a few bucks and have him mount it.

;DHey  Marty; The scope is a Tasco mTD. ON A 22 Hornet NEF single shot Handi rifle with std rail & solid rings I had a Tasco 4X on it before this scope, was perfect but decided I wanted a 3x9 on it, mts. are solid + 22 Hornet has very little recoil
