Got a 22 Hornet 10 incher, but I haven't been able to find it since the day it came in the mail.
Tucked it away somewhere so I could fiddle with it later, but I'll be danged iffn I know where THAT is! :'(

Shoot a 22 Hornet in a 10" Contender, and Taurus Raging hornet. Shoot a 40 grain load around 2400 fps out of both, no where near max load in any book. Both guns like 1680 and Littlegun powder. Have 2 handguns in 223 if I want something faster. These loads are fun loads that still have enough power to slay small critters with a reasonably flat trajectory for a handgun. You can load the little 35 grain V max up to some impressive fps for a handgun if speed is what your after. The little Speer 33 grain TNT bullet can be loaded up to some nice fps. Hornet is a fun gun to blast everything from chipmunks to groundhogs. Have fun.
