That's a very interesting quetion and I don't know that I've an answer to each. I like the M70 trigger for its simple efficient design. The Anschutz triggers and the M52 MicroMotion trigger by Winchester are both wonderful!! The Savage AccuTrigger is looking to be a great design but I haven't really worked with one yet. The Remington M700 trigger has its failings but is an admirable design if properly maintained and set up. Please note the in 2007 Remington has announced it will replace the trigger assembly on the M700's and M7 rifles with a new version. I have not yet seen on other than pictures but it doen't look to be adjustable.. The Old model Ruger M77 had a really good safe trigger design and the M77 MKII trigger truly sucks!! Most commercial triggers are rather mundane while most after market triggers tend to be fairly good. I've had excellant luck with the triggers from timney and the Shilen and other match grade triggers are astounding. The older M69A winchester rifles used a rather simple but well made trigger that is amazingly amenable, especially since it was on a median grade rifle.. Autoloaders are notorious for have poor triggers but the weatherby MKXXII 22 caliber rifle triggers were adjustable and were rather nice. The Browning BAR centerfire rifle also haas a fairly useable trigger.. Don't know if these are best just my rambleings. I would prefer the M70 on a dagerous game gun. Simple is better when reeliability HAS to be perfect..
