The 28" might be a better choice for an upland/waterfowl/clay bird gun because that extra 2" will add swing to your follow through, hence making it easier to swing for side-to-side shots, snap shots, etc. That's the only advantage I know of. And honestly that's a tough call to make, but if the $25 isn't an issue, I'd go with the 26". At 26" you still have enough of that length to make it a 'swinger'. Good luck with your decision!
