My son started hunting deer with the 6MM Remington in 1986, he hasn't missed a nice buck in the years since, last year's 4 point mulie (western count boys!) topped 242 pounds field dressed.  My Nosler Partition 100grain reloads handle the chore without fail.  Cascade Ammo has Remington factory loaded NP for $10 box close out.....go get 'em.

I used various 6mm Remingtons (Ruger 77, Rem 600, Rem 660) for years with handloaded 95 Nosler Parts and Speer 100 gr spiitzers. Worked very well on antelope, whites and mules. This last season took two antelope and three whites with a Browning BLR in 257R. Used handloaded 100 gr Hornandy Interlocks with IMR 4350. Worked very well. (Decided on the 100gr in the Roberts because I use 117 grs in my Ultra 25-06 and did not want to duplicate the bullet weight.)

If I had to choose between them it would be difficult. Since they both share the same case, I think I would go with the larger bullet. Just a personal thing after seeing them both at work in the field and comparing game reaction to being hit.

I have three 25 cal rifles. A Ruger#1  25-06, a Handi custom 257Roberts, A Rem 700SA in 25 Hunter (A 250 Sav Imp of sorts). In all of them I use 100gr bullets, one specific bullet for each rifle.

The 25-06 gets a 100gr TSX, the Roberts a 100gr Speer Hot core, the 25Hunter a 100gr Hornady Interlock FB. Each of these bullet perform best in the particular rifle.

Never had any reason to use a heavier bullet. 25-06 with TSX at 3430ft. The roberts at 3150 and the 25 Hunter at 3150. One shot kills is the rule with any of them. The 25 Hunter has shot the most game.
