Gunstocks may have that style or you can order one from H&R , looks like a standard non-monticarlo .  But i could be wrong , that has happened before .

I like the shape of the syn..It has more definded lines and cuts than the wood one's which are more rounded looking.Dave.

Dave, you have another option, just reshape a wood stock to your liking and then refinish it. That to me "wood" be easier than refinishing a GSI stock, there's a lot of work involved in doing one of them! MSP is a master stock refinisher, I'm sure he'll offer an opninion on my suggestion as he's redone many very nice stocks. ;)

And FWIW, the syn monte carlo stock weight 1lb-5oz, a wood MC stock weighs 1lb-10oz, i weighed a couple of mine last week.

Tim

edit: there's a good one on ebay right now!

There is some nice grain that you could bring out in that stock and the price is right, the only problem is the shipping charged is about $9-$10 more than the post office would charge you to send it Priority Mail!!! Just another way for some E-bay sellers to jack up thier profits. I have sold and bought on E-bay myself but I always charge shipping just what the Post Office charges me, heck, they even give you free Priroity Mail boxes and have those great falt rate boxes as well. That seller could send 40 pounds of cast lead bullets for about half of what he is charging to send a buttstock alone!!!

Thanks for the kind words Quick, and Dave if you need any information or a hand with redoing a stock for your son or yourself just yell....and Merry Christmas to All....<><.... :)
