I have finally got a good load worked up to shoot in my ruger 454. I am shooting 240grain xtp mag hornadys with federal primers and h110 powder. This load is about in the middle of loading range as i have had trouble with sticking brass with some loads. I shot them today and shoot great most accurate I have found recoil from this load is light enough you can stand to shoot it for practice. I also tried them in a taurus also and shoot great I like the h110 powder better than 296 pressure seems higher with 296 also I have used lilgun with 32 grains with winchester primers and 240xtpmags they shoot well also but not as hot as the h110 just letting you guys know as it has took awhile for me to find a good load
