.22 Savage Rifle - Tell Me What I've Got

I need some Savage experts to tell me about a rifle I have that was previously owned by my grandfather (and from the looks of it, it was last cleaned by him). It is a tube fed semi-auto that is currently a jam-o-matic. I am still working on getting the crud out of the action. It may be terminal. It won't feed on even the first cartridge.
