I have a 1972 Japanense made BLR in .308 caliber. Years ago I lent the gun to a former brother-in-law for deer hunting, by the time that I received the gun back home the barrel was slighthly pitted internally. Additionally, from other use I have some marks on the stock and I dislike the "pressed imitation checkering."
Since I like this Browning BLR so much I intend to have done whatever it may take to restore and upgrade.
Please offer some sources of firms who will actually take the appropriate steps to properly restore this gun.
Thanks much,
Jay
