question on times for rifle and pistol?
« on: April 14, 2003, 11:50:51 PM »
I was practicing today. One shot in my right handgun and 5 in my left. From the buzzer to the 6th shot averaged 6.5seconds and was as fast as 5.7 seconds. I shoot duelist.

I was shooting my rifle with it standing in the gun rack. (8" plates at 15 yards, 1 foot between plates) My time for 6 shots was 6.2 seconds to 6.7 seconds. I don't know if I can speed this up very much with the Arthritis in my hands. How do the times listed stand up with the rest of you?

question on times for rifle and pistol?

I suffer from stiff hands so our handicaps should be close, I'll a bit more than double your pistol times, almost halve your rifle.
I've got short fat fingers that don't move too swiftly, so my dualist pistol technique is a little slow!!!!   :-D
With the rifle, I get to use wrist and arm, I so do a little better, best time, or at least the one that I'm most proud of, double tap 5 targets between 100 and 150 yards in 10.15 sec.  With big and/or close targets I don't have to wait for the smoke to clear, I just shoot where they are supposed to be.
