24/7 Pro vs. Springfield XD
« on: November 27, 2006, 07:19:03 PM »
I am having a hard time deciding between these two pistols.  Anyone have the 24/7 Pro???  What do you think about it.  My wife and I are both looking for concealed carry pistols and I like the feel of both of these.

I think both are great, but the 24/7 has a nicer trigger pull.  I owned the 24/7 in 9mm which I then gave to my younger brother when I became intoxicated with the 45 ACP.  However now that the 24/7 is chambered for the 45 I've been toying with the idea of getting another.

I haven't shot the Taurus, but I love my XD 9 in IDPA. And I'm fond of my XD45. And my XD40 subcompact is great to carry. Hides better than anything else I own. All have been incredibly reliable, with minimal maintanance

I have shot the 9mm version of the 24/7 Pro and it is a very nice weapon.  Perfect for personal defense. However I have read some bad reviews of the .45 ACP version such as rounds not feeding properly.  Could be bad magazines though.
When an Army captain asked him for the direction of the line of retreat, Col Puller called his Tank Commander, gave them the Army position, and ordered: "If they start to pull back from that line, even one foot, I want you to open fire on them."
Turning to the captain, he replied "Does that answer your question?
We're here to fight."
