what scope mounts for T/C Contender 44mag. ?????

I was installing my new Nikon 2x on my old contender in 44 mag., as i was taking off the old TASCO 4x, i was in the processing of making sure everything was tight , checked the screw that holds the weaver quad mounts on the weaver style bases, and one of them was apparently wrung off  , ....and i was planning on sighting in the new scope in morning and shooting a pig tomorrow afternoon...........bummer......... .... what type mounts are you Guys using? ( the wild part about this i have been whacking deer and pigs with this gun and the screw was already damaged by recoil??

 I use those rings on several different handguns, and have broke the screws your talking about a couple of times from tightning too much. I still like the rings because I have never had a scope slip in them. I even have them on a Taurus Tracker in 44 mag, and it jumps worse than my 454's or 45/70's because it is so light. I wrote off the broke screws to being my fault. 6'3", 235 lbs of me with a big screwdriver, those little screws didn't stand a chance. Good luck with your hunting

I put the T/C Duo ring base on my Encore. It was kinda pricy, but it works well!

It's expensive, but I recommend a 6 screw T'SOB and 3 rings. with a .44 Mag. and larger.
