I've looked at them before on the web.  When they first came out years ago, there was actually an info-mercial on in my area about it.  It sure does look like it would b comfortable, but it also looks like it could be a pain to get out of too.

Yup.....but the concept, for those who haven't used a climber, is pretty good. I LOVE the vids too! ;D  Ken

The old original Tree Lounge was a bit heavier than I like to carry and was a bitch to get thru an area you hadn't made a wide trail thru already. Some folks said it was hard to put up but I never found that to be true and think maybe they just didn't understand the proper way to do it. Once on the tree it was an easy stand to climb with as long as you didn't have the pad on the seat, not so easy with it for my short legs at least.

It was the most comfortable stand I've ever sat in by far BUT so comfortable and safe I often fell asleep and that cost me several deer. I did NOT find it as easy to shoot from as they claim it is, at least not for me. But it wasn't bad in that regard. In the end I let mine go because it was too heavy and too cumbersome to tote thru the woods and just so danged comfortable I was asleep when the deer came under my stand.

I think I'd like to try one of the newer lighter ones they now make.

I know that I'd fall asleep for sure in that thing.  It reminds me of a hammock.   If I'm going to get that comfortable in a tree, I might as well build a nice fat permanent stand and put a recliner in it.   :D  That's why I usually hunt on the ground, that way I can just curl up under a tree if I need to doze.

Sure it is!  All of the other predators in nature take naps throughout the day....why shouldn't we?  I am always trying to "be one" with nature and blend in.   ;D  Too bad other predators don't snore though, it sure would help me out.......if the animals were used to the ZZZZZZ's.   :-\

I actually didn't watch the vids but have a lot of experience with the stand and have met and spoken with both Bob and his wife several times. We own all their full length videos unless they've made another recently, they hadn't last time I spoke with them.

I did watch the short demo one tonight and it's NOT as easy as that tall lanky guy makes it look for an old short fat rascal like me. But it's not that difficult either. The turning around manuver from climbing to seated and back are the most difficult for me. It's a good stand.

Ken, LOL.  Everytime I go out, I either have to take a nap or drop a deuce.....what gives?   ???  My buddies tell me that they can set their clocks by me.  It's so bad, one year they all went in and got me a camo travel pillow and a case of biodegradable TP.  Sheesh......

I was reminded of this when I was reading the GBO Campfire Tales, "The Great Georgia Gun Hunt, JR's Version."  Man, have I been in JR's shoes before.  Brought back lots of memories.......I've left many a nice piece of shirt in the woods as a "trail marker".  That's one of the good uses of a camo shirt, then no else can see it.  HA HA.  Thank goodness for the case of TP, it has saved lots of shirts over the years since.   :D

You might wonder how this pertains to treestands......well, let's just say that it isn't as easy to drop one over the side as you think it would be, in an emergency type situation.  And if you don't have a wipe, it makes the climb down that much worse, in more ways than one.  There is NO way I'd make it out of the Tree Lounge in time to get it down the tree.   ;)
