« on: December 15, 2006, 01:36:17 PM »
I'm looking for a hardcast bullet for my 45-70 NEF Handi SB2 frame.I want to use 300 gr'ers or something under 350.I know some companys have odd weights.Does any one have any good loads for hardcast bullets. If you have a load to share and you don't want to list it on here E-mail to me.I will only use it for a refrance only, but I would like to read them.Dave.

Thanks Tim
The 325 is what I wanted ,because it would go with my Hornady round I use for deer.I have a question about what one to pick when it saids .457 - .458 -.459 .Which one do you pick.I also like the Cast Pro.'s 300 gr'ers in .459.Where can you find smokeless reloading data for these bullets?.Dave.

Slug your bore and go from there, use a #8 soft lead egg sinker. If you go with the Cast Performance bullet, you can call or email them and get data from them, other wise, I'd just use jacketed data for them using 350gr data. Realguns has some data too.

The 325 grainers from Beartooth bullets are great.  I load them using Reloader 7 for heavy hunting loads and Unique for fun plinking loads.

Anyone know what the hardness of the Beartooth 325's are?A friend of mine going to reload for me.I'm looking for a load that is close to the ballictics of the new Hornady round so I can practice without spending a arm and a nut shooting. Is there a reloading book with a load thats close. Thanks for any info.Dave

Dave, do a little reading on the Beartooth web site, you'll find the answer there. ;)

Have a Merry Christmas!!
