For my .45 WinMag I use optical fiber open sights. I only use this on drives. I tried a BSA holosight on this gun but it died of recoil. I should have put it on the 10mm (also with open sights). For my 7-30 Waters I use a TC 2-7X. For my .223 I use a Bushnell 3-9X rifle scope with 6" eye relief.

The 2X Nikon should work for you.

Surprised ya haven't gotten more replies here either. :-\

I only have one variable power scope on my handguns , the rest
are either fixed 2 or 4x.

The variable is a Redfield on my 7-08 Encore, whcih will soon be replaced
by a fixed 4x, and the 2.5-7x will go on my 15" 22-250.

I took a 2x Leupold off of my Ruger .480 and put it on my Encore 30-06, but just until I get my Burris 2 x 7 with the ballisti-plex....
