.280 Handi Rifle does it again!

Here is a pic of the results of today's hunt. It was a Bang-Flop! shot......140grain Core Lokt took the top of his heart out at about 85 - 90 yds. Every deer I have shot this year with this rifle has dropped in their tracks! All of the others were neck shots though.....The .280 Handi Rifle is strong medicine for deer!!

In my opinion the 280 rem. round is one of the best all around loadings going today, Less recoil than its parent case the 30-06 and A little better than the 270win. In my opinion it's good for anything in the lower 48 states......Joe........

How accurate is this firearm?  I have always thought about a .280 for a long range mule deer medicine.  The Handi is new to me but it seems to be the right weight and has a 26" barrel.  Thanks  Buckfever

Mike Bare, congrats! I bang flopped one with my 280 rem. as well. I love the 280 Rem. it's an awesome cartridge!
