TC fast twist?

I put a black mtn.(1-28twist) barrel on my new englander (1-48 twist) for better accuracy with the 350gr. maxi hunter bullets.
After about 6 shots with 100 gr. pyrodex my shots began going all over the target.
After 15 shots without cleaning I couldn't keep the shots on a 8"x8" target at 50 yards!
With the 1-48 twist I could shoot 20 rounds and still keep them on a 4" target at 50 yards
Is the 1-28 more prone to fouling then the slower twists.
Or is it the depth of the rifling that makes such a big differance between the two?
Or is the TC 1-28 twist rifled for plastic sabots only?

my fast twist Green Mountain barrel is a Stainless steel. I don't have fouling problems with it. Ron

T/C suggests that for fast twist (1 in 28") barrels shooting Maxi-Balls, Maxi-Hunters, to put a Bore Button (Wonder Wad) over the powder, then load bullet, will generally improve accuracy.

Shoot sabots and swab after every other shot. Make sure to include large patches, bore brush and a gun solvent that doesn't say it's for blackpowder guns. Those are generally the weakest cleaners when using plastic and copper.
