H&R/NEF vs Rossi vs Rem Spartan
« on: January 03, 2007, 04:17:02 PM »
I haven't researched the other guns much but if you could start from scratch, which one of these single shots would be the best platform from which to build a multi-use gun utilizing several barrels ?  Which one has the edge in lockwork quality, strength, cost  (including extra barrels), etc?  Which one typically needs more "tuning" for accurate shooting ?

Best bet would be H&R(NEF).They definitely have the customer service.Actually it is your only choice.Rossi has no barrel program and the Remington is a Russian made Baikal marketed by Remington.

Unless you want to have custom barrels made you will have to get handi or TC.
As far as I know rossi and spartan don't offer barrels.
This is the nef h&r section so we are all biased to the cheaper handi rifle.
Some guys have more than most gun shops stock.

And on the NEF vs. T/C contest Gun Test Magazine just did a head to head test on the two in .22 Hornet and the lowly little Handi Rifle came out the winner.
