I'm sure someone with more expertise than me will respond, but "yes" you may experience some slight feeding issues, but then again you may not. Sometimes the wider shoulder demension will throw things off, but it can normally be fixed with a little cautious modification. A good gunsmith would be able to handle this without any problem. It is probably an easier fix than modifying the bolt face to accomodate a belted case. The one rifle I had rebarreled to 35 Whelen Improved made the transition from standard 30-06 without any problems.
