Question about a-bolt magazine
« on: December 17, 2006, 01:54:37 PM »
Just bought a Browning a-bolt Hunter in 204 Ruger and was wondering if anyone knows a good place to pick-up a spare magazine?

don't know about retail stores, but you can pick them up online at  www.midwayusa.com and maybe Natchez www.natchezss.com.  Maybe Cabelas.     No matter where you get them from, be prepared to shell out about $45.   Browning catalogue lists them at $52 (I think).

Thanks for the reply, but Midway & Natchezss don't sell Browning mags. Cabelas list some but not for the 204. I know I could buy from Brownells but I might as well buy from Browning. So if anyone else has any suggestions I gladly listen

actually, Midway does sell Browning mags.  Search from their main page for Browning a-bolt.  I have their 1" thick catalogue.  They have about 20 different calibers, BUT they don't appear to have the .204.

I did a search on Yahoo!  enter this into search field    +Browning +a-bolt +204.

Top hit was RifleMagazine.com for $42. Go here: http://www.riflemagazine.com/catalog/detail.cfm?ProductID=641

Just got a spare mag for my Abolt 22 Hornet from Midway.

Thanks bgrdnr: I like the price for the magazine at RifleMagazine.com I might try to purchase from them because so far their price is the lowest. Thanks alot for the reply You guys proved me wrong, Midway does have on their site they are just harder to find because they don't list them in with the firearm parts.

I bought one on EBAY for about $18 including shipping. Just keep an eye on that category and you should find one.
