i have a ithaca m66 ithas a smooth barrel i was wanting recommendations on which slugs for hunting deer with this gun any help would be appreciated thanks in advance it shoots up to 3" but i will be going with 2and3/4 it  is a 20ga lever action single shot

Go buy several different brands & head to the range.  Nearly every gun likes one flavor better than the others.  I would not limit myself to just 2 3/4".  Your gun may shoot a 3" best.
