Ok what kind of Accuracy are you boys & girls getting out of the 28" fluted ss varment barrels anything like the commercial, I beleave 25 shots 100 yds and cover it with a dime. Need to know I like to get one.

I just bought the 22-250 PH Fluted Barrel (28") and it shot about a 3/4" to 1" group with the handloads that I loaded for my Remington Model 700 Varminter.   I feel that with a little playing I can get it to shoot 1/2" groups pretty easily.

Here is a picture of my pro hunter 243 shooting a 70 grain Nosler balistic tip. This was a six shoot group at 100 yards. Leupold rifleman 3-9X scope.

My 22-250 PH  shoots a 3 shot cloverleaf group at 100 with the fac rem 50gr Accu tips

7mm.08 28 inch pro hunter

1/16 6 shot group at 100 with hand loaded ammo....1/2 inch at 200 with same ammo

.300 win mag 28 inch Pro hunter

1/8 inch group at 100 hand loads.....1/2 at 200 same ammo

.50 ML 28 inch pro hunter

1/2 @100 with 250 TC sabbot and 120 grains loose t777..... 1 inch at 200 same load

Optics

7mm.08--Nikon prostaff 3-9 x 40

.300 win mag--Nikon IRT laser range finding scope 4-12

.50 ML--Nikon Omega 3-9x40

I can reasonably say without a doubt IM IMPRESSED...With the .300 the first 3 volly were all one hole and the last 3 in the group opened up to 1/8 inch.. All were done off bags and unviced.
Wind conditions were 0 temp was 58.

The ML were 3 shot groups with a Bore Buttered patch wrapped around a .45 cal brush scrubbing out the barrel after each shot..Bout 15 passes each time...Good way to "season" the barrel and makes for end of day cleanup one HELL of alot easier. Good luck with whatever choice you make in calibre.
