I saw a friend's pre-64 model 70 Winchester super grade the other day. It had the original early 1960s scope - A Bausch & Lomb 2.5x8x32 model Balvar 8A on it. Have never seen this type of scope before! It had tapered cross hairs, rings that split on top to bottom rather than on the sides and NO adjustments - The windage and elevation were done with the mount, which was a Buehler.
Anyone know if their is any collectors value for this scope and mount?
