Knight Question?
« on: January 01, 2007, 12:46:41 PM »
My brother in law won a Knight DL606c muzzle loader. It has sat in the closet for a year and a half. He wanted me to order a scope for it but after opening the box I find a Simmons scope with no mounts or rings.  The instructions are missing and I was woundering if this rifle comes with rings and mounts? It has no sights on the rifle and all that came with it was small screws that go in the holes on the reciver where the scope would be. Any ideas? I shoot flint and cap locks so I don't know much about inlines. Thanks for any help.....Jim

DL is is the code for a Disc Elite. 606 is a blued 50 cal and the C is for Composite. I've got a DE706TC (Disc Extreme 50 cal Stainless Thumbhole Composite) and a DE756TC (Disc Extreme 45 cal Stainless Thumbhole Composite). For reference the 45 Blued Disc Elite would be DL656C and the Stainless would be DL706C or DL756C.

You can request a manual from Knight. http://www.knightrifles.com/ContactUs/default or: (641) 856-2626

And to answer your question, the bases are not included. The Disc Elite is a scope only gun but they did not include bases.

http://www.brownells.com/aspx/ns/store/ProductDetail.aspx?p=19767&title=MAXIMA+BASES+-+K-T A little way down look for this category: KNIGHT LK 93 MUZZLELOADER; REMINGTON 541-T/541S RIMFIRE. You can also search by part number: 947-628-260 You'll need two bases @ $12.60 each. These are steel bases and will accept weaver style rings. You can go cheaper with aluminum bases but I don't recomend that. If you need anything else let me know.

I have been shooting my Disc Elite with a .275 gr. Barnes .475 cal. bullet using a light blue sabot made for that caliber (Cabela's) and it shoots like a dream on top of 100 gr. of 777.
