Hi All,
Was wondering if the folks using this combo find that the B-Plex works as advertised.
I'm contemplating a 3x10x40 Signature Series B-Plex to put atop Tikka T3 7/08 to use as a Whitetail rig around fields and such. Shot opportunities will be in the 150 - 350 yd. range, with 150 - 300 yds. being the most common.
I'm also considering the Zeiss Conquest 3x9x40 and 4200 Elite in 3x9x40. Not overly concerned with the price differences in these scopes as they're all within budget, but more interested in how they perform under field conditions at these distances.
I did do a side by side comparison of the 4200 and the Conquest today at a Basspro shop, not the best lighting in there to make a definative decision on the optic quality but under the conditions, and to my eyes, I'd have to give a slight edge to Zeiss, and I do like the Z-plex reticle better than the mutli-plex on the 4200.
That aside, I do like the idea of the Burris B-Plex better for my intended use with this scope. Unfornunately, there wasn't a Sig. Series available to evaluate at Basspro.
I've read the Tech. info on B-Plex system on the Burris website, but would like some real world feedback on how the perform under actual field conditions.
I'll be using 140 gr. bullets for whitetails.
Appreciate any input you might have.
Many Thanks,
YB
