Well SB some youthful and indiscrete days have left me with a tendency to avoid the J D in particular. But after the wood is in, the stove stoked up, the arms cleaned, oiled and stored and all the other (well most) junk stored, the kinds in their bunks, then a hot buttered rum, or a little nip of Bushmills 10 yr single malt now and then goes pretty nice.
But I don't touch the stuff if I think I'm going to be out in the cold - it chills you down faster.
Cold broke last night with a small blizzard and temps to +25! Dramatic, from -20 to +25 in 24- 30 hours makes a real difference and nice one at that. Beautiful warm sunny calm day today. Too bad the range is closed, I haven't restuffed the cases, I screwed up my email program and stayed up most the night trying to fix it.
Now if I can finish the snogo repair and keep up with the kids demands I hope to get back out to the range in a week or two - if the temps hold decent.
But the boys sure loved it - out for a couple hours I think. Warm enough to play but cool enough they aren't wet.
