Contender Barrels

I'm new to this, so I'll ask.  Will barrels made for the G2 fit the older frames of the Contender.

I'm sure the people with more experience than I have will respond.  As far as I know, G2 barrels will fit the older Contender frames and vice versa with a couple of exceptions.  I believe one of the G2 Blackpowder barrels (.50 cal. ?) would not fit the older frame.

This is also my understanding.  If you look on the Thompson Center site they talk about it.
