who here likes the looks(?) of the encore style stock?  Quick my friend, you have just made a silk purse into a sow's ear....<><.... ;D ;D ;D

the forearm however does have some redeeming qualities, it looks real nice, and the woodwork appears to be well done.......

He explains somewhat how he dealt with the stock bolt in the thread at PM.

I read that Quick and it was informative and I now know HOW he did it, I just don't know WHY he did it? You are right Shaner I do not believe there is much wood left on top of the bolt hole. Oh well, beauty (or ugly) is in the eye of the beholder. Someday someone may try to make a copy of a Yugo also....<><.... ???

I think you've got it all wrong, MSP.  I see alot of potential in this layout.

I fact, since I've got mostly ejector barrels, this stock would be ideal.  Now all it needs is a slightly "C" shaped metal plate.  Then a couple lag screws thru the metal plate and into the front of that huge cheekpiece to mount it.  The plate would need to be as tall to almost touch the bottom of the scope.  Then, every time the rifle is opened, the case would hit the plate and not be lost to never-never land.  ;)

I guess everyone has there own 'thang'.  Guess if you have had Encores for a while, that stock might actually feel 'normal' to you.

Awesome! I want one! I wonder how long till we see these from a stock maker?

Boys you got it all wrong. It's not the 'Encore' look it's the tactical look.

I want one of these McMillians for my Savage 110. a SSG P2
