When does the itch for more muzzle loaders stop?

My Wife asked ..as tonight I talked with a friend and traded him my .223 NEF 6-24x50 BSA Scope

 for his .50 caliber TC Scout with a 1.5-4.5 scope on it and some lead buffalo bullets he was using in it..Extra nipple,patches,sabot bullets...

Do they make a 209 convertion kit for the TC Scout?

I called my brother to fill him in and he is all excited to get out and learn muzzle loading and share in the sport with me with one.

I tested the Scout out with a Buffalo lubed bullet and 100 grains of loose pyrodex.. and the Owner told me the iron sights are dialed in at 60 yards so we seen a steel small 4inch sprocket on a old cow crap spreader in his yard and I held the sights right on it and squeezed off a round and it broke the sprocket in half... He laughed and then said I was Plannin to restore that for a lawn display, I laughed and said don't need a sprocket to shot it off.. he laughed and said thats some nice shootin'...

So I cleaned it and now got it sittin' inside.. Glad the TC Omega has company of it's own kin in the gun cabinet now.... he he

I'll get some pics of the two kids together soon and post them...

Off to search for TC scout gear ....

Well, right now I have a T/C Omega Thumbhole decked out for long range work.  I recently acquired a T/C Omega X7 with peep sights to wring out for woods and within 100 yds.  I sold my old Traditions Lightning that was my first inline.  I still have the Traditions Deerhunter that introduced me to MLing, though it's not very accurate anymore.  I have a 1858 Remington replica cab-n-ball too.

So I have 3 MLs.....some day I might get another "traditional" gun, but other than that unless they come out with something really cool I think my ML collection is about finished.

When you have the entire variety. That means one in each caliber from 45 to 58. You also need a 32 for for small game. Then you have to have at least one flintlock. To avoid having more than one that is relatively the same, be sure to mix-in different twists. There's 1-20, 1-28, 1-38, 1-48, 1-60/66, 1-70.

When you get to around 10, you got close to the complete lineup.... barrel lengths excluded.

laughing hard,so I need a New larger Gun cabinet also? laughing hard..

This same gun I got todays TC Scout off from, said March 1st is Bike week in Florida and if I feed his three dogs,5 rabbits and two horses he will give me two black powder pistols... one is a single shot wooden to the tip of barrel style with a Percution cap on the side in a .45 caliber... Other is a revolver But it's the type without the Spine and the barrel and cylider are so loose it's not safe to shoot without someone to fix it so the barrel and cylinder stay in line... It's a 44 caliber.

I Don't at all plan to shoot either just display on a shelf..

The small wooden .45 just needs a nipple to work fine...

other needs alot of work,best as a display item for me.

Safety first...

Now I have to search for more inlines,and then brands like knight,cva and hawkens.... I may have to get me out a loan just for  this hobby he he

It's a disease with no known cure. You can get a little temporary relief after you get a new one, but it seldom lasts long. Soon the itch starts again.

Oh yes, there is a cure that doesn't include death. It's called the "Other Interest Cure".

For many years I had the Contender itch . . really bad case. Then I bought a Winchester .357 lever action rifle which was accurate as one could hope for. Hmmm, maybe I should get a 22 also so I got a Marlin 39A. More and more leverguns called my name and the Contenders began to be traded. That was the end of Contender itch.

Now it remains to be seen what cures a levergun itch. I hope it won't be muzzleloaders!

I don't think there's a cure for the itch. I think I have 8 muzzleloading rifles and shotguns. I use 4 of them regularly. ;D

I agree, I am starting to lose count of just how many I have. Unfortunately both of my gun safes are full and I have a White Thunderbolt on order (should be here in a month or so). I guess I am up to getting another gun safe. Starting to run out of room for the safes. I guess I am going to have to buy a bigger house. See what this "itch" has caused!!!!
