Ruger .480 or .454 single action?

Just wondering why Ruger doesn't offer a single action (Bisley or Blackhawk) in these calibers ???  I'd love to have a .480 Bisley

Im not sure  anyone can answer that. It only took them 50 years to bring the flattop back. For now you will have to have one custom built or wait on Ruger.

I guess I was wondering if the Blackhawk/Bisley platform was stout enough to handle the pressures of these cartridges.

I dont think the Ruger is quite as strong as a FA, however the custom 5 shot conversions are quite strong. I have a 475 Bisley by Alan Harton that is built like a tank.

You need to consider a FA, they are really something and besides, they are available in the calibers you want.

You will NEVER EVER see one from Ruger because the platform is not big enough/strong enough to do it as a six shot and Ruger will NEVER EVER openly admit to the world a Ruger needs to be a five shot to handle such rounds. Stupid,yes but Ruger never the less. Ain't gonna happen fellows if you want one you'll have to have it made after market.

People have been asking that on this board for quite a while.  Unfortunately Graybeard has been right so far.  Never Ever is a long time to wait.  Lots of good gunsmiths out there willing to put you on their waiting list though. :-\
